The new gallery show, A Secret Map, opens this Friday, May 10, at UnionArts in Athens, Ohio, 6 pm to 9 pm. In addition to new maps and illustrated stories of places both real and fictitious, I’ve gathered many of my older maps from over the years. These maps include my 1987 map of Athens, Ohio, a 1999 map of the Appalachian Trail, and maps that I made as a child. This is just one of many of my maps you’ll see at the gallery: A map of a sailing adventure in the Adriatic Sea from 1988 (this one left unfinished). Come down and visit on Friday, have some snacks and drinks, and enjoy browsing.
