OK, I just found this in a pile of papers, a scene that I never included in Atomic Yardsale. I think it’s from 2010, a snippet of a storyline I didn’t follow.
I did give Jen and Mike’s story a lot of thought, but it always seemed to turn into something a bit too dramatic. Among a few of the scenarios was the possibility that Mike would go away to war, and their communication would be through exchanges of letters in the mail. Having never been in such a situation, I wouldn’t be able to do the story justice.
I like the idea that Jen remain relatively unattached from prospects of love (by her own choice). She’s a strong character, and I figure that if she’s interested in the right person, she’ll pretend not to be interested.
That really is a storyline that maybe you want to explore…? I always wondered if Jen and Mike got together
