For anyone who saw the exhibit this summer, Beware the Fish, in Athens, Ohio, you might remember seeing this postcard. It was a fun show, and now all the stories and postcards are in a box up here in the attic. Because I wanted to share it with my neice and nephew (who couldn’t be there), I’ve compiled the stories and postcards into a 28-page paperback book. The color pages make the project a bit more expensive than usual (usually my books are black and white images), but it’s worth it to me. I’m creating the book also, at least in part, to satisfy my own desire to see the exhibit as a whole, IN PRINT. There is something wonderfully satisfying about creating a book, maybe as simply an attempt to remind myself what I do, and why I love it.
If anyone missed the show, and would like me to print a copy of the book for you, let me know! It’s paperback, 28 pages (10 color pages). I haven’t yet heard from the printer just how much it’ll cost to print, but if anyone’s interested, I’ll let you know. Just contact me via the Contact Steve page on the above menu bar, or go to my Facebook page, Steve Richter Art.
Peace to all,
Steve
Sorry I missed the show, Steve! I heard it was a great success! I would love to see the book! (And what happened on June 9, 2004??)
Vickie
Hey Vickie, Thanks! I’ll definitely make sure you get a copy of the book!
(and June 9, 2004 is when I met Bethany! If Amanda hadn’t called, I wouldn’t have gone out, and probably wouldn’t have met her!)
